I first ran across Shlomo when he appeared on Jools Hollands show, where he did a remarkable,if short display of Beatboxing
Here he is on The Beeb’s Glastonbury footage, layering sounds up on a loop sampler
much like Robert Fripp’s,’Frippertronics technique, which in itself is an emulation of a much older technique employed by guitarist and guitar designer Les Paul

A tremendously stomping techno track from Thomas Schumacher, with fearsome Hip Hop style scratching and an awesome bass part.Best enjoyed loud, sadly the audio on this is really low.
Dan Le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip

Now i know i’m a little behind the times with this one but i just got one of the most interesting albums to come my way in a while ,’Angles’ by Dan Le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip.A refreshing and slightly odd hip hop/electro mix up with some really clever wordplay. There are also some industrial/techno influences going on.I love the fact that he makes absolutely no effort to hide his accent and anyone that can write “Thou shalt not judge a book by it’s cover. Thou shalt not judge Lethal Weapon by Danny Glover.” is alright by me.
You can listen to four of their tracks at their Myspaz, check out Dan Le Sac’s blog and read a couple of reviews here and here.

Theres a wealth of Cypress Hill stuff over at the B Real site.Lots of lovely hard to get b-sides,collaborations,interviews,and some live material.
Of particular interest is ‘Wopbabalubop’,the collaboration with Funkdoobiest and an excellent version of ‘Under My Sleng Teng’
I would say i was down with da kids, but that sounds a bit R Kelly these days!
